On febrery, the lab tests of my brother are wonderful. Everything is great, and see will have his next lab tests on April. He he in imbruvica since 2018, and doing great with his 11q and 17p selections.
As I told you, this month a node in this neck grows a little big. He has a gastrointestinal problem last week. He still have the node little big.
My questions are:
It’s possible to have this node because the infection? He is perfect about it, feels well with the stomach, no nauseas, no vomits. The nodes will be more time inflamated because imbruvica?
Also, why the doctor didn’t give him Ventoclax when he was in remmision with all of the labels great? It will be him a deepest remission, not?
It’s possible than ibutrinib still working instead this node? Or it’s relapsing just in almost 2 months..? I can’t understand.
Also, if the doctors give him Ventoclax it could help him to achieve again a great remission?
He feels very well. Healthy, I’m affraid about they recommended a cell transplant not Ventoclax?
Im affraid and anxius some times. Not feeling well.
Thank you!!!!

It sounds like your brother is doing pretty well. From my own experience on a similar drug (acalabrutinib) sometimes nodes swell even when blood numbers are good. It has happened to me when I was getting a cold. Sometimes they swell for no apparent reason and go back down.
I have no information about starting venetoclax but maybe someone else can comment.
Your brother is lucky to have you. Best wishes to both of you
Thank you so much for your quickly response. I’m affraid about the results in his blood results, he made it last Thursday. But the appointment is on 5th. This countdown it’s very dramatic for me. Excuse me for my English..
He was doing soooo well until 4th of February results..everything was perfect.
But now because this little node, I feel sad, no sleep well, anxius during the day.
It’s soo helpful for me your words. I’m trying to do my best ♥️
Cgr2018, I believe your post 5 days ago was answered by some very reliable members.
The only way to know is to get the results of the coming blood test and have the Dr. tell you what is happening with your brother's CLL. Since he has been on ibrutinib for a bit over a year, it is possible Ibrutinib no longer working , especially, since the gastroenterology upset has cleared up and the node seems to have grown.
There is still the possibility of infection underlying the node growth, however, that may be less a possibility now. I know it is very concerning, but your brother's Dr. will be the only one to say if Venetoclax is an immediate possibility, or will need to be delayed for whatever intervention s/he sees through the blood and other possible tests.
So sorry for you anxiety and not being able to sleep. I hope you find out the situation from his Dr. soon, as April is about over. Best wishes to you and your brother.
Please let us know how the appointment and report goes.
