Disruption of Blood Cancer Cells by Ultrasound - CLL Support
Disruption of Blood Cancer Cells by Ultrasound
Cutting edge, but if it proves to work in vivo, and the side effects are nil--that would make for an interesting trial.
If effective on bad B cells, that would be incredible! I'd sign up in a heartbeat
Hi Shornoff,
I've replaced your tinyurl link with the full link as shortened links are a security risk. I've stripped off what can be personally identifying information in the reference link after the question mark.
With respect to the article you referenced, like leukapheresis, I suspect that it will only find limited use. That's because CLL cells are dormant and fragile in the blood and would be replaced by new clones from the nodes. I'm dubious how well the tuned ultrasound would work against CLL cells in deeper nodes and bone marrow.
