losing white cells when on no cancer treatment

I had pneumonia and I was at 250,000 white cells and I lost 100,000 and doctor thinks it was from infection. Then I gained the 100.000 back in couple weeks after coming out of the hospital Now my next test(two weeks later) shows I lost 100,000 again. Has any one heard of such a thing? Next week supposed go on venetoclax.

I was going to ask my dr about WBC falling The last blood test before imbruvica failure I was at 35K-40K WBC and then when it failed I was told to stop imbruvica and the test showed 6.2 WBC beginning of April (when I went into the hospital and stopped taking imbruvica) then WBC fell down to 1.7 during the initial weeks on Venetoclax. It bounced up to 4.1 today. My next appointment is Tuesday and with the next blood report we'll see if the WBC continues to rise. I'll let you know

edit - forgot to add that I also had to have blood transfusions so I lost red blood also during the time I was off imbruvica and its failure

ok, that makes sense because my hemoglobin and platelets have dropped again. My hemoglobin was at 6 as they took a lot of blood for tests and antibiotics can affect numbers. They gave me EPO and iron infusion(lousy hospital) but flooded me with so much fluids that this was first time didn`t respond as fast to iron-they couldn`t even find veins to take blood the last time before being released. But they`re all back and healthy now since I`ve been home!

I asked my hematologist again if possible went back to bone marrow He said my blood test showed cell destruction. Fortunately my kidneys were not permanently harmed. By the time I went in hospital to start Venetoclax I gone down to 83,000. Since he started me on allopuronol week and half before it helped protect me from cancer cells bursting. I`m on my first week and just came out of hospital.
