I am currently in treatment beginning Dec 2018-May 2019 of Rituxan and Bendumustine. I completed second round yesterday. Did anyone have good results with this protocol that have MALT in either the breast or eye?
Thank you

Unless someone answers now that have bounced your post back up into Newsfeed, it looks like we don't have anyone reading who has your particular version of NHL. Posts on the same drug side effect experiences will hopefully be of use, however.

Hi Kitton,
There are Facebook forums for mzl. As you may already know, there are three types of mzl: enmzl (aka MALT), splenic and nodal. There are 3 facebooks sites: one for mzl, extranodal marginal zone and nodal. Rituxan is standard first line treatment. Some are also treated with BR. Mzl responds well to monoclonal antibodies and some people have very long remissions. I have MALT too and was treated with obinutuzumab and am currently considered stable. You will get answers on these sites how people with mzl responded.
Hi Kitton,
Just saw you asked about breast and eye. There are people on the site you have had MALT in their eyes. There are probably some with it in the breast too. It appears in many locations. I have had it in numerous locations. The mzl and MALT Facebook sites will help you get answers.
Thank you for the information I really appreciate it.
Hello Kitton,
I had a nodal NHL/MZL (Monocytoid B cell lymphoma) which appeared on the sclera of my left eye. I was on Watch and Wait for CLL at the time of the biopsy, and was treated with low level radiation for about 3-weeks which seems to, according to my Dr, melt the tumor away. This was about 5 years ago and I have not had any further issues with it.
My CLL is currently being treated with Rituximab mono therapy which has, so far, proven to be very effective and I have been in remission for about a year and a half. I'm not sure if I would have achieved similar positive results with a targeted therapy in the treatment of the MZL.
I wish you great success in your treatment.
Sincerely
Len
