Started Trial today

It was kind of a rough start. I got as far as 3.9 ml in on the O drip and I felt like I was burning from the inside out. I have been flushed before but this was 100 times worse. My vitals went south and everyone came running. They stopped the infusion and up the dosage of steroids, benedryl etc. They started back up again and I tolerated fine until I was 40 percent of the bag in and I had whole body shakes. They administered Demerol and shakes stopped and I got the whole bag in. It took a lot longer though I got to the hospital at 8am and left at 5:30. I took the I drug - 3 capsules along with the alpuranol and an anti nausea drug before I went to sleep. I did fine although I woke up at 2:30 and can’t get back to sleep. I’m a little concerned about what will happen today as they are upping the strength of the o drug today. They have assured me that they will pre administer the drugs they gave me when they stopped the bag the fist time and it should go much smoother. I’m so glad I have this group here to help me get through this!

Hang in there aquafinn. I had some of those side affects with FCR in the beginning until they figured out just what I needed for those side affects. Then things went much smoother. The steroids that they gave me to prevent side affects had their own affect of sleepless nights. I guess sometimes things can't be perfect. You'll get through this and on to better health. You've got this!

Thank-you - it was a little better. I’m kinda glad I have a 5 day rest before the next infusion although I’m taking Ibrutinib daily.
