What does 2 years have to do with anything?

Doctors should recommend to help with pain. Is he a CLL expert? Important to get second opinion.

Claritin without D for pain.

Magnesium Glycinate 400 twice a day for leg cramps/pain. 💕

Claritin is often suggested for bone pain related to neupogen / neulasta injections given to boost neutrophils. I have never heard of it being used for general pain.

Thank you I think it's best to get a second opinion

I don't think they are even the oncologist won't do anything as he has had lymph nodes under his jaw line they wouldn't see him thanks for yr reply

He should at least be referred to a physio, and I would ask for a CT scan if there is pain and lymph nodes popping up. By docs do you mean GP or haematologist? If that doesn't work or doesn't show something as a cause, you have a legal entitlement to a second opinion if you are in UK. Where are you based, and where is your nearest cancer centre?

Gp asked the oncologist if they wanted to see him they said no

I think you need a second opinion, Your GP has to agree to that; I would find out your nearest cancer centre.

Sudden appearance of nodes meant my CLL was progressing rapidly. I'd encourage him to see a CLL specialist soon. It may be nothing, but I'd want to be on the safe side.

Definitely agree with the advice to take Mg

Not sure about the dosage. You need only 360 mg per day but, in addition, you need 4700 Mc of potassium (K) along with the Mg. A banana has only 400; V8 has 900 so it hard to consume 4700 of K per day.

You can eat 8-10 cups of leafy greens or take a K supplement for what you May be missing.

Pills come in very low doses and you should not take a large amount at once.

I take it in powder form (Bulk supplements from Amazon) in the form of K Citrate and my 360 mg of Mg at night.

I dissolve the K in my water to help me get what I may be deficient in. I sip it throughout the day. I usually take about 2000 mg and eat about 2700 mg in my food. My leg cramps are history!

Drinking water is a good thing but too much can eliminate those vital trace minerals from your body. So I only drink when thirsty. Typically I drink about 4-8 cups per day. Good luck.

Clubland4ever,

Is the Shoulder pain in the bone, joint, or connective tissue?

Also, are the leg cramps in the calves, thighs, other, and are they constant or intermittent? Are they primarily nocturnal?

Has this condition presented itself gradually, or suddenly?

Lastly, please clarify on the use of disappearing tin the last sentence of the post.

These details are pertinent to measuring symptom source possibilities. Keep in mind that relief from medications and remedies are from mechanism specific responses.

You want to choose the right action first so as to not make things worse and ore difficult to measure.

A good rheumatologist coordinating with a CLL literate oncologist is the choice that I made with these same conditions. I can offer you what I found to be helpful, however, the progressive element that his nodes are appearing suddenly warrants a visit with the CLL specialist.

Consider discussing with the doctors, increasing hydration, electrolytes, and possibly magnesium for the cramps. in addition to the hydrating a regular stretching routine prescribed by a physical therapist could be helpful too.

Also the possibility of using a NSAID like diclofenac both orally and topical for the shoulder pain if it is tissue related.

I found some relief by the methods I mention early on, however as the CLL progressed, so did the symptoms, and the lasting relief came with treatment.

I am pretty similar 12mths diagnosis, W&W, had a 3mth rapid rise in blood count, now plateaud on last week's test, Phew! I have pain also in shoulders hard to describe sometimes burning tingling aching tender sore to move them, also pain in elbow, down lower back, pain in legs feels like maybe in the muscles,/tissues? My bones in my feet hurt at times as well.

I had x-ray, does show some bulge in back disc, some facet degeneration,.

I am going to physio next week to run it by him if this could cause this much pain and discomfort.

My GP put me on 100mg morning and night of Tramadol it is Def helping alto I not like having to use such a strong med already.... And I do have a high tolerance to pain alto this also means a high tolerance to pain meds, (I am an amputee I lost my R. Arm traumatically many years back).

If I find, anything relevant to this I'll post also.

Good luck I wish you all the best and hope you find something that works. X
