So much to share returning from Scotland for CLLAN Horizon and iwCLL

Hi,

I am just back from 2 amazing CLL conferences in Scotland, CLLAN Horizon for CLL advocacy groups around the globe and iwCLL for hematologists across the world. So lucky to be able to attend both in person, speak and do interviews.

Still jetlagged, but we have a backlog of news and interviews to share. In fact through the rest of year, we expect to average more than 2 interviews or articles published every week.

Also in 2020, we are planning a major revamp of the website, so please consider adding your input through our survey: cllsociety.org/2019/09/ask-...

I want to share so much, but please start by looking at the latest Tribune that has several articles of interest from patients and researchers including Dr. Jain on IFCG, my last 2018 ASH interview than gives some amazing results for combining the best with the best: cllsociety.org/quarter-3-20...

We have an interview with Dr Wiestner on acalabrutinib, Terry Evans is featured in CURE magazine and so much more.

The future looks bright, but we still have unsolved problems- more to come.

And be sure to add Scotland to your travel list- amazing country and people.

Stay strong.

We are all in this together.

Have a great trip!! I am a descendant of Robert the Bruce (as is probably 1/3 of the USA. But that’s just bragging. Except I met a young man at Anytime Fitness. He was REALLY a descendent. He said I was the first person who had heard of him in our small town:).

I am sorry for rattling on. I do not have any input for change on the website. I always found it easy to us. I really dislike what Outlook has done to the format of my email. I find it hard to read the mail. They added advertisements. I guess it was going to come to that one day, but I sure don’t like it.

Good news unless you are a Kings fan.

Or you live in Georgia. They took our team. Now I have to root for the Preds.

Any chance that there is a video of Deborah's tribute to Chris Dwyer? Lots of familiar faces in the picture from Edinburgh. So many special advocates working for us! bkoffman

CLLAN had an AV team that recorded all the sessions so they should post that in the next few weeks.

One last thing. We used Rabbies Tour for our Highlands trip- they were super- funny and informative and off the beaten path.

Thanks. We went to the Orkneys as we are particularly interested in prehistoric site- Skara Brae and the standing stones were amazing.

Weather was very changeable, but the rain held off for many of the longer hikes.

The week after the conference was so much fun spent with friends and seeing the sites and I restricted my CLLS work to the evenings.
