Subsequent to my query a few days ago asking whether (in the UK) ibrutinib would in future only be available in tablet form, the answer from Jannsen is YES. They were understandably reluctant to discuss their reasons with me but confirmed that the tablet should be taken whole, not be crushed or cut up.
No doubt I will learn to cope, but for those who have difficulty swallowing, this may be a problem.
Thanks everyone who has shown interest in my original question.

Something else to worry about now. ! I have trouble swallowing large pills. Will it be 1x420 or 3x140 did they say ? I live in hope of a reduced dose one day 🤔
i should clarify, we have 4 sets of tablets sold in usa. However the packages say active ingredient made in china. I don't actually know where they are pill formed and put in packages. they say distributed by pharmacyclics.
I haven’t heard anything as yet regarding ibrutinib is going to be in tablet form. All I can say is yuk. I have difficulty in swallowing tablets also. When I had a stint in hospital nearly 2 years ago a visitor noticed that I was having difficulty swallowing the tablets and she told me to put them under my tongue and then drink. It works for me.
