I am starting my 8th week on Imbruvica and am starting to feel lots of aches in the bones, mostly my fingers and thumb, now right at my rib cage. Anyone feel the same? The ones in the fingers went away after 3-5 days and the one in the thumb is still continuing after 3 days. The one in the rib cage really hurts when I laugh or sneeze. I'm pretty sure its not a pulled muscle. I dumped the bra.
Thanks

It should start to resolve as tumor cells disappear from your bone marrow. I take Tylenol so as not to effect my platelets rather than other NSAIDS (like Aleve Ibruprofen). Tylenol ( acetaminophen) might alleviate some of the pain and is the one my pharmacist recommend with my treatmetmet O plus V. Ask your doctor though. Did you tell your doctor?
I have been on Imbruvica for 23 months. During that period of time, I have several episodes of numbness and pain in the thumb area of either hand. And, at times my feet feel like stiff sponges.” My oncologist said it was a side effect and, unless the problems become worse, to tolerate the occurrences. Fortunately, it has not gotten worse.
Mine was both shin bones -same time -10 days of hell-came about 6-8 weeks into imbruvica--what you are feeling (most likely) is the imbruvica working to flush even more bad guys back into blood-my pain as others before me have indicated as migratory can show up anywhere for a day or a few-just not as severe now-God Bless You
I experienced bone, muscle, and joint pain the entire 2+ years on imbruvica. Before I finally switched to acalabrutinib, I had been reduced to the lowest dose of 140mg per day. It felt like the moisture was being drained from my muscles and bones. The sad part is that the drug really worked well for me. Daily stretching and occasional massages seemed to help. I hope you get some relief soon.
