Last week we published an interview with Prof. Hoffbrand cllsociety.org/2019/07/ash-... that offers a remarkable overview of CLL treatment over 1/2 a century and also the history and much more on cellular therapies including CAR-T by Dr. Mukherjee, the Pulitzer Prize winning author: cllsociety.org/2019/07/impo...

Two history lessons- the first on 50 years of treating CLL and the 2nd on cellular therapies including transplant and CAR-T
Great interview with Prof. Hoffbrand with some much appreciated CLL history. I knew Chlorambucil/Leukeran was an old drug, but first synthesized in 1953? That's older than many of us in this community!
Can't wait to read/listen to this when I'm home with my laptop instead of being in a coffee shop with my tablet. Thanks Dr Brian!

Prof Hoffbrand is a legend of Haematology and I used his books, especially Postgraduate Haematology and Essential Haematology throughout the 40+ years of my haematology career. I still have all my old copies.
As a manager, when new staff started I gave them a copy of his book Postgraduate Haematology to keep, it's still the bible of haematology.
The latest version of Essential Haematology is written with Prof Paul Moss, a leading UK CLL researcher based in Birmingham.
