I think we all get a cold or flu even if you don’t have CLL. Just check your absolute neutrophil count with your doctor . Find out how low it is and if that’s why you are getting flu. Sounds like you are having some side effects with hypertension and are somewhat immunocompromised from CLL and treatment.

Just be patient let your body heal, you will feel better soon. Notify doctor of these things and don’t take armchair medical advice from us only.

Thanks for saying hello!

Losartan can cause upper respiratory symptoms. In fact, I take Olmesartan (same class of drug with similar side effect profile), and I have runny nose, congestion, sore throat, etc. I may have symptoms which I don't even know are blood pressure drug related.

I’d ask your Dr. - one that cares enough to check things out. At times, I can say that these symptoms are not minor. I don’t feel like I have the flu, etc. , though. Some people will cough on Losartan too.

Good luck.

My biggest concern is the sticky dark green phelm that seems to always be there now!

I was on IB for one year. Like you I continued to get sick almost every month. The doctor discovered my IGG was very low. Ultimately I got so sick I had to be admitted to the hospital. An X-ray showed that I had a very bad case of pneumonia. But after 4 days of antibiotics there was no change. So I had several lung biopsies that all came back negative. The doctors were stumped. But my oncologist figured it out. I had a rare side effect from the IB called pneumitous (sp?). Once I stopped taking IB my lungs cleared. Strange. I hope this isn't your case but you might want to mention this to your doctor or keep it in mind. Good luck, I hope things get much better quickly.
