I was recently diagnosed with CLL. I am 70. I feel good but I had a UTI. Doctor did blood work. At this time, I am to go back for another blood test in two months. My question is did any of you that have CLL use roundup?

This topic regularly comes up for discussion, most recently just over a week ago: healthunlocked.com/cllsuppo...

Were you a casual user, or did you use it regularly as part of your job? Did you protect yourself from exposure by using gloves and a mask and washing your clothes after using it?

As you can gather from my questions, it's not a matter of whether anyone used roundup, but whether a greater use of it correlates with a greater risk of developing CLL.

I used it twice a year. We spray up and down driveway. And different places on the farm.

I have been unsure about the roundup connection. A few years ago my husband was helping out on a smallholding spraying the land with weedkiller ready for the seasons hay. Three friends, they made a device which helped with the spraying but probably meant they got covered with the stuff, but did not realise there were any implications with using glyphosate (Roundup). Since then, the owner has developed treatable skin cancer, the main sprayer has now died after contracting pancreatic cancer, and my husband has CLL.

It makes me wonder whether it would be worth trying to pursue a case as we have no proof that it was the roundup, but it does make you think!
