Hi,

Our last free CLL Society educational forums for 2018-2019 will be held in NYC May 18 and San Diego a week later. I will be at both. Details are here: cllsociety.org/patient-educ... I also will be at our Long Island support group meeting on May 16. Details for that is here: cllsociety.org/event/long-i... Hope to see some of your there. The educational forums are always amazing and the support groups are always helpful and well supportive. Please say hello if you will be at any of them.

I have been traveling much too much. In NYC 3 x in May. I will be home only one full day out of 27 in a row between June and July. Speaking in Dublin with my friends from CLL Ireland, then at EHA in Amsterdam, then Florida, Charlotte and Halle, Germany. Most of the talks are to other doctors and professionals about the patient journey.

Next year I am hoping to travel a little less and have other experienced patients take some of the lead in the education and support we do so at the CLL Society so that I can focus more on support, writing, advocacy, and research to help the community.

Not complaining. It’s a joy and privilege to meet other patients and work with top researchers, but I get tired and have trouble finding time to write and do all the work that is needed.

Stay strong. We are all in this together.

Brian

Hi Brian,

Listen to your body and take care of yourself. Maybe you’re doing too much. Don’t get me wrong you’re doing a fantastic job but maybe you need to take time out for yourself.

Love your work and support.

Take care.

Kind regards Josephine 😊

Well I hope you are still planning your New Orleans trip. I’ll buy you a veggie dinner and you can wash it down with a Sazerac. 😎

Hi Jeff,

My wife and I will be on NOLA something like Oct 10-12 but that is not CLL Society related though I will talk on CAR-T. I am lecturing to other family doctors for medical education purposes. I hope to meet with our support group when in town but should have much free time for food and music and friends. Let's make plans closer to the date.
