Day 5 on ibrutanib. Really having issues with sleeping. I wake after two hours and have restless leg type symptoms and cannot get back to sleep. Have tried melatonin but hadn't really helped. I am a Waldenstrom patient with associated amyloidosis but there are slot of commonalities with CLL.

Ibrutanib and sleep issues
Welcome...
Most issues on Imbruvica (ibrutinib) are limited and pass over time as your body adjusts. I suggest you advise your WM doctor of the problems you are having and perhaps he can prescribe a short course of sleep meds... Melatonin in my experience is useless.
You need you stay very well hydrated, and perhaps increase your exercise during the day, and try moving the time you take your Imbruvica (ibrutinib).
These things are often temporary, but advise your doc...

My primary recommended taking an iron supplement for restless legs. Haven't started yet but I'm going to give it a try.

Tomogrady1 ... I have had sleep problems but not restless leg. Just old fashioned insomnia. I have found taking my meds in the morning instead of the evening helps. Good luck with the restless leg issue.
Magnesium oil sprayed on soles of the feet which is absorbed quickly or good quality and strength magnesium tablets was what I used for restless legs and cramps while I was on Ibrutinib.
Welcome,
The doctor can prescribe medication for your restless leg syndrome. I take it twice a day and have been taking it for over 4 years.

I am on imbruvica and have sleep issues including rls. I find that cannabis (THC indica) helps a lot both with sleep and rls. Depending on where you live, you may need a prerscription for it.
