Will infra red lights help with painful enlarged lymph nodes ? I use the lighting for Daibetic neuropathy and for sure see improvement there... I don’t think that they’d hurt as I have been told warm compress is ok? Thanks in advance! Couldn’t sleep tonight on top daylight savings.......

Will infrared lighting work
Hi haposwald,
There is a treatment for some skin problems related to CLL called Phototherapy or light box treatment.
webmd.com/skin-problems-and...
It's like a stand up tanning bed with precise control of the light frequency in the UVB range (much higher light frequency than infrared).
This is used to treat psoriasis and eczema by penetrating the skin a very short distance and killing excess skin cells plus any excess lymphocytes and neutrophils (also known as neutrocytes) that accumulate in a specific skin layer for us CLL patients.
Whether infrared rays would help your lymph nodes (much lower frequency and often used to keep food or people warm) is not something I could comment on. You should really consult with your hematologist / oncologist before using that method.

No it will not help. Lymph nodes are way to deep to be helped in this manner.
Try and research Castor Oil packs, some CLL patients feel they get relief, others think it is a total messy procedure, not worth the bother...

Interesting Chris,
I have just been reading about the benefits of castor oil. Seems to be good for dry skin and hair, as well as the castor oil packs. Its now one of the ‘ on trend ‘ products in the U.K.
Does anyone else remember germinating castor oil seeds in water in school !
