These foods might be fine for most people, but some come with caveats for CLL patients.

Learn what is recommended for CLL, patients buy discussing nutrition with an oncology dietitian or your medical team.

I agree with Chris. The reason being that there are lots of supplements that claim to boost the immune system. My variety of CLL particularly crippled my immune system. I've was neutropenic and my IgG was below the lower reference range at diagnosis. My specialist told me there was nothing I could do to improve my immunity. I've since found that where any food or supplement has good evidence for improving the immune system, it does so by boosting lymphocyte production or at least stimulating lymphocytes. We already have more than enough of those :( .

You are absolutely correct. In fact some of the foods mentioned on the recommended list are listed in the platelets society page as problems for platelets formation or aggregation (Garlic, blueberries). And GRAPEFRUIT is listed as dangerous for those on IMBRUVICA because it increases the impact of imbrunitib. As for turmeric it appears is questionable for those on this therapy.

Fish oils effect coagulation, and Vit K may effect blood thinners like Warfrin... its actually a recommendation list full of landmines for CLL patients, particularly those on treatment.
