Hi Moses,

You don't have a real diagnosis yet, unfortunately. Leukocytosis just means a raised white blood cell count, which can be caused by a whole lot of different illness. You mentioned having marks like blood under your skin. Do they look like this? healthline.com/health/petec...

That can be due to having a low platelet count, which again can have many causes.

You may have the leukaemia/lymphoma supported by this community, but blood cancers are rare and you need a proper diagnosis. You need to have a special blood test arranged by your haematologist, called a Flow Cytometry test. This will determine whether you have a blood cancer and if so, which type. If you have CLL, you have found a great online support community. I hope you are able to get a more definitive diagnosis than you have now and that your condition is readily treatable.

Moses - you don't say how high your WBC is. Some with CLL, because it can be chronic, can go to 300 or even higher and not need treatment. Did the hematologist order additional tests and if so, which ones. If a Flow Cytometry and an IgG test were not done, get back to the hematologist and insist on those two tests, NOW! Also ask for copies of all of your labs, all of the hospital records, and all other test results or doctors' notes, and start a file. You won't understand it all, but for most labs, highs and lows are marked as such, and you can see that.

Given your UTIs and resulting sepsis, you also need a good urologist or nephrologist on your team. You need to know whether the cause of those infections is kidney or bladder based. You should have a 24 hour urine for protein/ creatinine clearance or a urine test for protein/ creatinine ratio done.

I'm guessing from your use of English that you are in the US ( maybe Canada?). If you are in the US, the HIPAA Law gives you the right to all of that information. On CBC tests, look especially at your absolute lymphocyte count (ALC or #lymph), your platelets, and your HGB (hemoglobin).

I hope that you will lock this post, as I don't want my life coming up on google, and you probably don't either. At the bottom of your first post, at the bottom click on the v next to more, then edit, and go to the bottom of the post where you have the option to change everyone to community only.

I am also sending you a PM, as this is not locked yet. Next to chat there will be an orange oval. Click on that.
