What is the New name for cll in remission

I was told that as long as I was in remission they do not call it CLL. What is the name?

Do you mean CR (Clinical Remission) or MRD (Minimal Residual Disease) ?

The only new name I know about is some don’t use the term mrd negativity anymore, they say mrd undetectable because that is more accurate.

Being mrd negative doesn’t necessarily mean your Cll is gone, it just means with the technology available they can’t find Cll cells. That’s what some have gone to u-mrd.

I called it Watch and Wait Again... but in my case, it's now again and again and again... and again. I had to count them... be certain I was correct 🤣

I still have to write CLL on forms at doctors offices. I am in remission but I still say I have CLL. It's chronic. 💕

The word that we are all looking for is CURE, but until we get there we have CLL, whether new and watch and wait, or in remission and watch and wait again, though newer tests can give doctors a better picture of exactly what our CLL is doing.

Many ways to answer this question and heres another!!

I believe around 1% of CLL sufferers gain a natural remission and return to MBL ....the pre cancerous state of CLL

Oh to be the one in a hundred in that case!
