I am new to the site and just been reading through other peoples thoughts and experiences. I am on this site for my dad who was recently diagnosed with CLL unmutated... the first thing i am wondering about is if anyone has tried CBD oil or Tincture oil with CLL? My dad will very soon be on Ibrvtinib and just wanna see if others have went through this? Thanks in advance.
*** also i was wondering if anyone has gotten any kind of weird infections since being diagnosed with CLL unmutated? Thanks again !

Yes I have. I, too, am unmutated and am 7 months into treatment with ibrutinib and Gazyva. The results have been very successful for me but I did have pretty severe bone and joint pain which flared at night making sleep impossible. After trying everything else, my docs recommended CBD oil (pure, no THC). A few drops under the tongue at bedtime worked wonders and helped ease the pain and helped me sleep through the night with no morning hangover. My pain has largely subsided now and I seldom need it anymore.
Thank you for replying.. a lot to go through in times like these. did you talk to your doctors about using it with their prescribed drugs? What all did they say? seems only positive stuff about this. I just wanted to make sure it wouldn't mix with the medication etc.. hopefully i am not a bother with these questions! all the best to you!!
It was recommended by 3 different CLL specialists I saw when I was getting diagnosed, and by my clinical trial doc when I started treatment so no, it's not contraindicated with my meds.
I am un-mutated and currently doing B+R chemo treatment. When I was first diagnosed with CLL about a year go, I had weight loss and night sweats. I decided to do the CBD oil at many peoples suggestion. CBD oil did nothing for me and was a waste of money for me. At best it might mask some of the CLL symptoms, but very little. I do however understand your desire to find something to help your dad, wish you the best.
