ASH Conference will hopefully have some good news on CLL progress

I am a patient of Dr. Jain at MDA (prior with Dr. O'Brien before she left for Irvine) and was in the early Ibrutinib/Rituxin study at MDA. I am currently on Venetoclax/Rituxin and was at MDA yesterday for my next to last Rituxin treatment. I had a great conversation with Dr. Jain, who is the lead in the IV trial at MDA and was extremely excited about the early results which he will share at the ASH Conference in San Diego the first week of December. He is equally excited about the conference and believes much good news will be shared at the event. Fingers crossed and let's be prepared to share some good news should it be forthcoming. Good luck to us all.

The abstracts are out for the ASH meeting and I think the one I attached is the study to which you refer. The IV combo looks very promising for sure.

17pisme,

How do you like Dr Jain? I will see him next week for the first time. Thanks,

Jeff

I like him. I loved Dr. O'Brian and was extremely sad to see her go (in fact I almost followed her but how do you leave the quality of care of MDA). Dr. Jain was fine, it was me that had to take on a new attitude with the change. His assistant Victoria is fantastic as well (she takes care of business, which takes stress off of you). I would suggest that you do your homework , write down your questions and always take notes. He enjoys an educated patient as he should (I had to learn that).
