Octagam reaction???

Hello here i’m again... looks like i’m having a type of reaction in my body, started in the legs and going up into the all body..... i’m still ibrutinib and octagam once a month!!!! May it be some kind of reaction on Octagam?? Anyone else?? Thanks for your opinions!!! Dr is on weekend,can’t talk to her

My hematologist still didn’t see it only on nov 8th ....

So, you do not have a diagnosis as yet. Don't let whatever it is get infected--you would be wise to call the Dr. and get appt. moved up if possible.

You right i don’t have a diagnoses, that’ s why i questioned if someone got a type of reaction on Octagam... thanks

Deta: look at page 7 and 8 of this site. You will find all the possible skin issues and yes, eczema is one of them--but there are others.

This could be either drug. lankisterguy just wrote about his skin issues with Ibrutinib. If IVIG is the suspected cause ask to switch brands. It isn't a matter of one being better than another, just that you are on something different.

Are you getting monthly IVIG? If so, and the rash improves while you are still taking Ibrutinib it should give some indication of the possible cause, if it improves over the next few days. Definitely let your doctor know on Monday, and if you experience throat swelling or other additional symptoms of concern, get to an ER.

Also consider your pre meds. I once experienced a reaction to IVIG. Switching brands fixed things. Several years later I found myself feeling very spacey two infusions in a row. Turns out I have developed an intolerance to Benedryl. I now take Claritin instead.
