I'm still on W+W after being diagnosed w/CLL in 2016. My current hematologist has not been helping me at all---with fatigue, all day hot clammy sweats, depression, anxiety, sleep disorders. At my wits end.
Would it be possible for anyone here to share a recommendation to a CLL Specialist in NYC?!
My primary care phys is clueless, and only referred me to another hematologist w/limited knowledge of CLL.
All advice very much appreciated!
Best,
Emma

Thanks for the suggestions, everyone! I did try Dr. Furman a few months ago, and unfortunately, he doesn't accept my insurance. Will let you folks know how the other options turn out! Thx again!
Dr Allan is also at Weill Cornell, not sure if that still presents and insurance issue with you, most patients are referred to him when inquiring abut Dr. Furman. They collaborate and might be another option for you.
I don't know if you are able and interested but we have a CLL Society Patient Support Group meeting next Sunday with Dr. Lamanna as guest speaker.
