Blood Test Results
Red blood cells lose their nucleus in normal development, making a smaller cell that can easily travel through narrow capillaries. So normally you would see no or only a few nucleated red blood cells in your blood test results. However when your body is rushing to replace red blood cells, they don't time to fully develop and more are prematurely released nucleated.

Zero is not a bad number in this situation...these are cells only found in mammals and not generally found in blood tests. To have any number you would need a Bone Marrow Biopsy.
Scott, the little bird perched on Renee’s knee had nucleated RBCs! It is the enucleated RBCs that are generally only found in mammals.

Thank you for correcting me gardening-girl....it is a conspiracy of white coats to use too many terms and names just to confuse poor Scott.
