I've used tea, wheat grass juice powder mixed into my water, lemon water, and fresh burdock root tea

Run any changes by your doctor... some things may react with ibrutinib...

from USA I use a toll free number to the Imbruvica pharmacists where I can ask questions if a supplement is okay M-F 9-5 eastern time.

My burdock root tea is golden, then after it cools turns aqua green-blue (It doesn't taste different to me, and don't know if this means it oxidized but maybe lemon will prevent oxidizing, I haven't tried that yet)

burdock is a diuretic

Safety profile

from nutrition-and-you.com/burdo...

"Burdock root can be safely used in healthy individuals without any reservations. However, in patients on potassium-sparing diuretic therapy, it may aggravate potassium toxicity. The whole plant may elicit allergic reactions in some sensitive individuals.

In addition to drinking four cups of green tea each day, I often put slices of fresh ginger and lemon in a cup of hot water for a stomach soothing drink. Sometimes I add slices of fresh burdock root. The roots can sit at the bottom of the mug, and still be tasty for a second cup.

During the summer, I pick a couple handfuls of fresh mint and put them in a glass pitcher with enough boiled water to cover. I remove the mint after about ten minutes and fill the pitcher with cold water. Sometimes I float a few slices of lemon in the putcher. I usually leave it on the counter because I prefer room temperature drinks, but it can also be refrigerated or iced. Very refreshing drink to have available through the day.

When I eat a big slice of watermelon, I also consider it as part of my total fluid intake of at least ten glasses a day.

Happy hydrating!

I add very small amounts of pure fruit juices to my water, just enough to flavor. Mostly a little grape juice or cranberry juice. Not all the time but maybe once day, 4 oz of juice mixed with 24 oz of water.

and a reminder - grapefruit juice is a no-no for those on imbruvica

No.. its a cross between a lemon and orange, used in Earl Grey Tea, and other baking...

Very bitter, and you would not be eating it it , but good to know about

There is not enough in tea to worry about

Try some flavored sparkling waters.....they have a lovely taste and such a variety: coconut, watermelon, black cherry to name a few.....
