FCR treatment

I've now received treatment, starting Dec 2016 for six rounds of FCR as part in a UK trial. I have been told I am in complete remission, which is great news, and a weight off my mind. I must have been more worried than I was able to admit, as I now feel able to get on with living again.

Follow up in three months; is this back to watch and wait?

Great to hear of your complete remission. And, yes, you will be followed on W&W again. Here's hoping you get a loooong remission. Enjoy your life and new-found energy.

Super. So many getting complete remission on FCR . Yes, back on watch and wait . After a year post FCR the consultant changed my visits to every 4 months. I could have hugged him.

Takes a while to get rid of the effects of treatment but soon you will notice the new you.

Remember you are still to take care of your health and be watchful for 6 months.

You will have bouts of anxiety and fear the smallest symptom but you are still "part" of the haematology clinic so use their advice if needed.

So happy for people. Well done

Thank you. I have needed antibiotics already. My doctor says I have a 'criminal record' and not to hesitate contacting them. I must take no chances.
