The updated for the hard journey of Venetocalx.

First, I really appreciate organizer who provides a platform and let people share their valuable experience and people who spent their time to support and encourage others with providing more specific information and kind reminder.

When 100mg day 6, The doctor discussed with my hubby and hope to stop Venetoclax due to the high risk of high Lactic Acid and to use another chemotherapy. My hubby did not want to give up because the medicine worked but slowly.

Our doctor is superb, we really really appreciate his new solution. He agreed my hubby continue 100mg plus Dexamethasone and IV Rasburicase and Hydrated for reducing Lactic Acid and the LTS risk On 200mg day 3, avocado sized node melt. The Dr. was very happy with the result. Now it is 400mg day 8, the side effects are very low WBC<1 and PLT drop down to 46, fever and serious cough for 7days.

Are there some people experience this type of side-effects? Appreciate any information with my deep heart.

Yes, currently he is in hospital and Dr. ask him to reduce the dose to 200mg. Next Monday , will do further examination. The good news is that the lymphoma reduced a lot and big one under axilla has gone.

Treatment always seems to be one step forward and one back.

Take joy in small victories. I think if you can work with your doc that good things lie ahead.

Happy to hear you found the solution. My father is slightly behind your husband. He is finishing 200 mg this week and some of his large nodes shrunk, but some smaller ones did not. He is coughing and has a slightly increased temperature. He has an elevated lymphocyte count and the night sweats he had before the treatment. The doctor says it is too early to draw any conclusions. The first checkpoint for benchmarking is at week 20.

Dear Artkula, it is very pleased to get your message and happy to hear your father will finishing 200mg this week. My hubby's cough and fever got controlled. His dose reduced to 200mg, so the blood test value gets better than 400mg and neutrophils go up from 0.5 to 1.5. It may too early to draw a conclusion for your father, but the facts are that the medicine works. I Hang in there!

Hi. How is your husband now? I hope he managed to continue with venetoclax. I am just stating my venetoclax journey and I thought it would be as easy as Ibrutinib but it’s not. My blood pressure has risen dramatically and they can’t seem to get it down. Hopefully things have improved for you. Best wishes Cindy.
