What a lovely photo! I love their smiles. Zoe will treasure that photo (as will you of course). Thank you for letting us see it, and thank you for sharing your journey with your Dad to the end.

Hello Kate
Thank you for the privilege of sharing a little of your life and your Dad's fight to be with you as long as possible. There are no words to take away the pain of that final parting.
He was indeed blessed with a caring daughter and no doubt enjoyed his family so much.
Things will get easier and to know he is now at peace will help.
This lovely photograph definitely one to treasure.
May you and yours have the happy future that your Dad will have wanted for you.
Best wishes

What a lovely photo, one to treasure.
Is it in the U.K.?
Sue ( Sheffield/ now Bedfordshire)
Yes. Dad lived in Edinburgh. This is in the gardens of the hospice, he loved being outdoors. We even took him outside in his bed,!
It looks like it was an excellent hospice, I do hope that it was a comfort to you all.
Take good care now of yourself.

The hospice could not have been better. Apart from being a beautiful place, it's recently been refurbished, amazing rooms. Beautiful gardens. Access outside from dad's room, we could take him out in his bed, he loved listening to the water fountains. Sitting areas for us, including a sitting room with full height windows looking out to the river.....binoculars provided! Amazing! And 24/7 care of the highest quality. Just sad not everyone can benefit from such a place.
I am so pleased for you and know that your darling dad is in an even more beautiful garden now where you will one day be reunited. 🙏🏼
I am less than a month away from the first anniversary of my dear mother's death and knowing she is at peace has comforted me.
Take good care of yourself now.
A cherished photo - one that will become even more meaningful as time passes. Thanks for sharing!
I don't know whether they are happier about the medal or the fact that they are sharing the moment. Wonderful picture!
