Australian CLL and SLL patients we need your help. Would anyone be interested in attending a meeting with AbbieVie staff on Monday the 15th of May in Sydney. The company are keen to learn more about how Australians live with CLL and SLL. Lymphoma Australia, The Leukaemia Foundation and another patient will also be there. They would also cover costs for travel and accommodation if you are travelling from interstate. This will be very informal but also an opportunity to advocate for what we need in Australia in terms of access and support. If you are interested and would like to know more please call 0431483204 or email me sharon.m@lymphoma.org.au
Thank you

I'd encourage any Australian able to help to contact Sharon about becoming involved in this meeting with AbbVie, the company responsible for developing Venetoclax/Venclexa. Sharon is the CEO of Lymphoma Australia and (in addition to her organisation's continuing advocacy efforts) notably has assisted Australian CLL/SLL patients previously thus:
1) With Dr Brian Koffman's assistance, arranging the September 2015 CLL/SLL Patient Meeting in Sydney when Australia hosted the iWCLL event, so international CLL specialists were able to support the Patient Meeting
2) Supporting the November 2016 CLL Patient Education Day in Melbourne, where Professor Peter Hillmen from Leeds UK, joined local CLL experts
