Ache in left arm
A warm welcome to you Debbie,
Have you consulted a doctor about the ache in your arm because there could be so many causes that it wouldn't be wise to speculate on here. The only caution is that sometimes angina causes pain that can only be felt in the left arm so please check it out. It could be nodal impingement, bursitis, trapped nerve or any other dozen reasons but it needs investigating Debbie.
Best wishes and hope your CLL is behaving.

Hi new dawn, thankyou for your reply. No I havnt been to my doctor about it yet, but I intend to as soon as possible! I think I have just been brushing the pain off and getting on with it as many of us do. But rest assured I will be getting it checked out. Thankyou for your advise. Hope all is well with you? Kind regards, Debbie.
Hi Northstar22 - sorry you are in discomfort. Could it be a trapped nerve or referred pain? The reason I mention this is that whilst I have CLL I also have severe scoliosis which affects not only my back but my right hip and leg/thigh by way of referred pain. I do Pilates and regularly "roll out" the muscles with a foam roller/spike ball and this helps.
As you've had this so long it may be best to visit your doctor for advice and possible referral for physio. I've had my scoliosis all my life so know my body really well - but I wouldn't like to second guess.
Hope this helps in some way x
Hi Kathp thankyou for your reply, I was also thinking it could be arthritis? But I'm no doctor so I don't know? But I think I will book myself in the doctors. Thankyou for your advice. Hope all is ok with you and you manage to stay pain free 😳
Welcome north star to the CLL massif! Always get things checked out, best not to worry.

Just a thought, but we do have some small lymph nodes in our arms, around the inner elbow, if I remember the drawings correctly. If that is close to the location of your pain, it could be lymph node related,
HI, I have had pain in my arms from the lymph nodes in the elbow areas. Hope it improves or you find out what is causing it.
Hi Debbie
I'm no doctor, but I've had CLL for 14+ years, and I'm not aware of any CLL-related cause of your pain.
However, I have had high cholesterol, and have twice experienced muscle pain from drugs I took to reduce the cholesterol - Lipitor, and Simvastatin, I believe. Both took several weeks, or months to become painful, so I had almost forgotten about my doctor's initial warning. But, in both cases, as soon as I stopped taking the pills, the pain went away.
For what it's worth....
Don't know what it is but I have it too it seems worse when I get overtired. I just put it down to lymph glands having a bit if sort out?
Hi, Debbie, and welcome. I agree with others who recommend your seeing the doctor. My husband urged me to contact my doc when my left arm was aching, and it turned out to be related to the CLL after all- I had developed Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia, for which I am being treated with Rituximab. As soon as I had the first infusion, the arm ache went away. Best of luck to you with this challenging disease.
