Busy day -week 8

Week eight of trial and a busy day today. Sitting waiting to be checked in for CT scan. Once through that off to another department for a BMB.

Will add this to my main Ibrutinib/Venetoclax post once I get home.

Think I'll have a treat for lunch.

best to all, rob

And BMB done. Not painful at all. Followed by seven blood samples. Definitely treating myself to lunch out.

Well done Rob, and thanks for sharing. Great to have it all done and over (especially the BMB) . Enjoy your lunch!

Apparently. Apart from lunch idea went down pan. Stuck waiting for pharmacy to issue Allopurinol, which has to be taken 72 hrs before Venetoclax, expecting 90 min wait.

Allopurinol helps with Avoiding TLS when ramping up Venetoclax and is required by the trial. Seems to be the only extra drug I get.

That's a bummer on two counts firstly your wait in pharmacy and secondly I was allergic to allopurinol when having chlorambicil in 2005 I guess that may rule out Venetoclax for for me if the time comes.

Always pick up little bits of useful information from posts on here!

Geoff, if that is because you have a reaction to Allopurinol all is not lost. My understanding from the discussion I had was that if I was known to have an allergic reaction to Allopurinol they could potentially offer something else. As I have had Allopurinol before successfully the discussion stopped at that point.

best, rob

When we go to hospital, every month for Idelalisib the wait at pharmacy is usually an hour, so we go and have lunch and then go back.

That's what I ended up doing, however a tea and a BLT wasn't in my plan. However, decided to treat myself tomorrow.

Already it's tomorrow, so do share what your treat is, you deserve it.

Hope you get great results.

Best wishes always
