Clive James interview on Victoria Derbyshire program
Wonderful to see that he's still practising his premature long goodbye with characteristic self effacing honesty and humour.
'Clive's lousy leukaemia' CLL was big news as I was diagnosed and his progress has featured in the background of my personal journey as a result. How Ibrutinib has changed the treatment landscape and I'm delighted to see him benefitting from it and acknowledging that the advance in treatments and understanding makes predictions in this condition reassuringly unreliable.
He made me chuckle talking about how good he is at 'laying down and it shouldn't be underestimated just how good he is at it!' Isn't that the truth! We CLL'ers could make the 'zestless zonk' an Olympic gold winning event!
Great to see and testimony to the tremendous advances in CLL treatments and the power of humour over adversity.
Thanks for posting Myrddin.

Loved the candid interview. Such great humor. He can still laugh at himself. A talented man. Thanks for sharing. Sally (USA)
Since Clive James could be called a ‘ celebrity ‘ he should be co-opted as a voice or promoter for CLLSA or Bloodwise.
There is nothing like a ‘famous’ well known person to push forwards actions to improve the diagnosis or treatment for any cancer.

PS.. Myrddin, you photograph looks very similar to the path I walked along myself today in Dorset..
Interesting interview! I was a bit surprised that he didn't know what CLL stood for. Hanging out on this forum and learning so much from of all of you, I just assumed CLL patients are an informed group and that I have a lot of catching up to do.
