Tender lymph node?

For four days so far the right side of my neck next to my throat but not in it has hurt. When I swallow or laugh or move in a certain way.

I'm seeing doctor in six days time but in the mean time any ideas? It's not apparently swollen and a ct scan four weeks ago suggested no swellings.

Sounds very similar. Might be a slight nasal infection making the lymph node tender.
