I am 42 years . Gone through 6 cycle FCR in 2011. After 52 months, my lymphocytes now 4 with 14 cm spleen size. It looks my sll is coming back as I am feeling nodes in in neck. What is average remission period in FCR ? What is other treatment option ?

I had same treatment as you last year and my lumpy neck nodes did not fully reduce : ended up about 2-3 cm across residual. I am no expert but the wait for CLL symptoms to flare up after treatment is just extremely variable. Some people are in remission for many years but others are not so lucky. I wouldn't be surprised if I need more treatment if not this year then next year as I think my neck nodes are slowly enlarging. I will be interested to see replies from others on the subject of further possible treatments.
Remission lengths do not seem to be set in stone as there as many factors to take into consideration but I'm sure you will receive posts from some of our more 'able' forum members who will direct you to relevant sites for the information you are seeking and the new treatments available.
It is so easy to be fearful during remission, wondering if or when you may need further treatment. Try not to live in fear. Treasure each day - and may you have very many days to treasure.
I too would like to understand this mute chapter in our process. The best answer I have found is each one of us is walking a personal trail. Depending on our genetic family past. The great unknown. I hope I make the best possible choice each time I have to choose. I think within seven years I will have another treatment. It's impact will be half of the first. Then a daily treatment. My immune system will be aided with treatment. The time line is reflective of a thirty two year record survival. All this is changing with improvements through science. I read the future is already changed positively. After six months reading this is what I think. The Doctor said I ask to know the impossible. I am glad I am happy as well as content. With that I will be fine.
Gone through whole Abdomen Ultrasound and blood work. Lymphocytes reached to 4.4 with mildly enlarged spleen. Few lymph nodes of 2+ cm observed in stomach, neck and groin. As many data say FCR gives around of remission in CLL, it did the same.
But SLL is unpredictable compared to CLL as 6 months back UT of whole stomach was clean .
