Just a warning... Make sure you write your replies/responses just as you want them, the first time round... Because the edit button no longer works on "Replies" (though it does still work for original postings.).
I guess a "workaround" would be to delete one's whole reply, make the adjustments, then post again. That would be fine if done straight away. But if you wait too long, then it wouldn't appear in the right place in relationship to any other replies that might appear afterwards.
I wrote to HU about it, and they said "... I am sorry about the issue you are experiencing. We are aware of a few technical issues like what you have described. Our engineers are working to solve the issue as quickly as possible..."
So, maybe it will be sorted soon - but maybe not... Meanwhile, be careful how you reply

P.S. Autumn (in the UK anyway) seems particularly beautiful this year. The colours seem deeper and richer than ever. The photo was taken yesterday, by a pond hubby and I often walk round.

I'm ok thanks Paula. Still waiting for different docs to decide on medication for other health issues (stomach problems and atrial fibrillation) but at least it has temporarily diverted my attention from my CLL which I never thought was possible lol.
Sorry you are having 'off' days, fingers crossed they will stop soon.
I hope your stomach and AF problems get sorted soon. I remember you saying that when your stomach's acting up, it triggers the AF. So many things are connected... we are complicated creatures...
Sending best wishes and hoping you can have the stomach issues resolved soon.
On the more mundane issue of editing posts, I had a major problem with the site generally yesterday and wondered why I couldn't edit a post. Took me forever to be able to open posts too as it kept citing 'internal server error'. Hope they can sort it soon.
I couldn't get to the site at all yesterday afternoon, then had a post disappear, followed by me being jumped from posts to specific posts I hadn't clicked on to some page of, I guess suggested posts which were all over a year old. Hopefully HU was just having a bad day yesterday.
I had similar problems this morning, Pat. I kept getting a variety of different error messages, and at one point was told I wasn't a member and needed to join! It's not so bad now - at least I can get in, and can post.
These things usually happen at weekends... Maybe tomorrow it'll get sorted...
Good to hear that it works for you, Tricia. On reading what you said, I just tried again, to see if I could now edit my last reply. But no... When I click the little "v" box, the 3 choices appear as usual (edit, delete and report). But only the "delete" and "report" do anything when clicked.
I wonder why some people have problems, but not everyone. I've tried on my laptop, my desktop and my mobile phone, but the same problem with all of them.
HU has many small, annoying bugs, some go back over a year... I often post and can't read what I have done, get kicked out the the swimming pool log in screen, relog in and I'm persona non grata... no access...
HU is built on an Amazon cloud... I suspect many problems arise because, the HU programmers are one or twice removed from the actual code... In many ways, their hands are tied, until the Amazon programmers fix stuff...
I also have not been able to edit posts...for the last few days, uploading photos, sometimes don't work, and you loose the entire post...
Its a pity, frankly, I'm sure people have trouble a few times and never return...
Sounds like it's even worse for you and Pat than for me, Chris. It's SO frustrating... I got the no access thing too though (with an invitation to join HU as if I was a newcomer).
But that was this morning - it's been better this evening (editing still doesn't work though).
Maybe tomorrow the HU folk will do something about it. Pity that they're not in charge of the actual code though, and are dependent on Amazon programmers. As you say, it's very offputting for newcomers.
And I'm sorry to have missed the photos you would have posted...
