We have just returned from The Christie, following my husbands appointment with Dr Bloor. He has been receiving Idelalisib+Rituximab for 2 weeks now and all is well at the moment. His blood counts were good today and as he is feeling so much better on this treatment Dr Bloor does not want to see him again for 3 months. He will continue with his treatment at our local hospital and fingers crossed everything will continue to move in the right direction.

Hope you are all keeping well

June

That is great news June, how good you must be feeling. Thanks for sharing with us. It's good to hear all the stories, when things are going well or not so well. It gives us a sense of perspective. Peggy.

Dear June

Great news that your husband feels so much better after just 2 weeks of treatment, what a great start.

I hope that the local hospital will review him regularly and are up to speed with what they should look out for. There are a group of us on HU now who are on the same treatment and always happy to share experiences and ideas.

Good luck to you both and enjoy these good times.

Thanks Tricia. Yes, our haemotologist at our local hospital and Dr Bloor at Christies are in touch frequently via phone and email, I am fairly confident that between them he will receive good care. I will keep in touch and let you know what his progress is like.
