Blood readings

Hi all I've been given. A lot of blood results numbers and I have cll B markers Cd5/Cd19 Cd23 BCLL 5/5 also low antibodies and have been given the first of two vaccines but don't know if they will help can anyone help please it's all jargon to me !,,,,,,

CDs are 'clusters of differentiation'... they are proteins on B cells and they can vary in different types of lymphomas... yes CLL is a Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma subtype... not a true leukemia... very weird... to pathologists it is a lymphoma to hemaetologists it is a leukemia...

These clusters are identified with a blood test called a Flow Cytometry, and this test is used to separate CLL/SLL from other lymphomas, like marginal zone, Burkett's, follicular to name only a few...

Think of the CD5, CD19, and so on as a 'CLL fingerprint'...

Do you know what vaccinations you had? It is good to get all your vaccines up to date at diagnosis, since it will afford you the best protection...

Thank you for your rapid. Reply this is a whole new language and I think I should start to learn it .
