How good communication underpins positive patient outcomes.

Good communication with your doctor, oncologist or haematologist has been proven to increase the number of positive outcomes for the patients. Your specialist MUST take the time to fully explain your CLL, and to fully describe how they intend to assist you with any treatments.

If your doctor, oncologist or haematologist does not give you the information you require, then ask members on this forum, or search the archives. Then request, or locate, a second opinion to find a specialist who is willing to take the time to fully discuss your individual situation.

This recently published survey proves the point.

Hi its also important to understand one and another. Living in London I have experience of having difficulty understanding some Dr's either they speak too softly and I can't hear or their accent makes communications impossible especially when I am not well.
