Ok Newdawn it's 5.00 an ounce no not really ....you can have some for free.

Life Newdawn Life that's all just love it. Over 3 years ago I never had the urge to raise funds and since having CLL I have enjoyed things a lot more but it's not been an easy ride though but you have to play the cards you have.

Julian. you must feel on top of the world , well done .I see LLR have a massive menu you can feast on!. leukaemialymphomaresearch.o...

Keep playing those cards. today I was speaking to LLR fundraising for Wales about how to develop support for CLL people in the principality. Could do with some of your energy and ideas, LLR are discussing collaborating with us with the October Cardiff half marathon. CLLSA have secured places for runners or walkers and are looking for fundraisers who could take on the challenge and raise funds for CLL Support Association.. A place can be secured with a pledge to raise at least £100 it's not on a bike but is a challenge. Do you know any candidates who wish to aid in raising the profile of CLL in other regions and funds towards CLL Support?

Details; cardiffhalfmarathon.co.uk/

For a less lively activity a CLLSA member has suggested a National UK CLL day. This could take the form of as many members as possible holding a coffee morning or similar event on a given date. We welcome comments, help and input from members on this. Anyone who is interested in fundraising and developing ideas or has events for CLLSA or who wishes to register a pre-booked place in the Cardiff run please contact derek.mcglashan@cllsupport.org.uk .

What about something as simple as a link to shop at Amazon - Every purchase earns a small commission for the site that hosts the link. I'm afraid that I'm housebound for the most part, but I do have an account, and spend a few 'bob' with Amazon. Other shopping sites may have a similar link, I'm not sure.

Whatever you decide to do next Julian, lets us know how you get on - by the way how many 'punctures' did it take to make it to Paris ? ....

I used to do a lot of charity work around the local pubs & clubs, running pool tournaments for local causes, - but I'm afraid Jules - John O'Groats to Land end's would need to be the name of two pubs ..... in the same street ..... ( with pool tables !)

Keep up the good work.

I like that about the pubs. Punctures two but they were more like a gun going off 1 front and later the same day the rear one the good thing was you pull over raise your hand the ride captain gets on his walky talkie and before you know it the wheel is changed but the really cool bit is you then have to chase the pack down-loved that and in the afternoon as I was coming down hill bang went the back one Tyre was off metal on tarmac but I didn't go down and again once change I chased down the pack brilliant loved every minute and the motor bike outriders cleared our way through no stopping at red lights or roundabouts or as we came into Paris aaargh it was fantastic.

I spent 6 months fundraising and know feel a bit empty and missing it all but next year I will do another ride will keep you posted

Thank you

Jules
