After a Kasai operation...

Dear All,

Our baby is 4 weeks exaclty post Kasia today and the nurse suggested the doctor may re-do this operation. I am not wanting to discuss the merit of the nurse mentioning this but rather if anyone has had a similar experience, where your child had another proceedure after the first Kasai. We will speak to the Doctor on Monday, as the hospital is in lockdown and normal communication with the doctor is not easy, which is why we dont really know what is going on. Currently her bilirubin is fluctuating slightly. Pre-Kasai it was @12 and then went to @5 2 weeks ago, then moved up to 6 last week and now back to 5.2 this week ----which is exactly, 4 weeks post Kasai. As I write this message I have a migrane and I just am unsure what the expectations are post Kasai and whether anyone has any advice. Thanks Dominic
