I’m sorry to hear about your son. My husband has Gilbert’s too. But he never gets that sick. Are you sure that’s a confirmed diagnosis? Did he do more work up besides labs? HIDA scan, Cholangiogram? Ultrasound? GGT lab?
Hello. My 19 year old son has had same symptoms as your son & has suffered on and off for 3 years with just 2 extreme flare ups. Never really got to bottom of cause but has recently been diagnosed with Gilberts but only as I saw the blood results & queried it as he has yellow tinge when unwell. I’m beginning to think that this is the cause of his problems but an attack to the immune system like a nasty virus sets it off with terrible flare up of symptoms. I would be interested to hear the outcome of your Son’s tests & hospital visit. I really hope he has improved by now.
