Hello everyone,

My son is having Kasai surgery on next Mon. I hope everything goes well for both of your son and my son. Sorry that i cannot give any information about post operation but i just wanted let u know that you are not the one in agony and give you some supports. I will pray for him and letz keep the positive thoughts for us and our family.
Hi,
Congrats on your new baby.
I understand your feeling right now as we went through that exact agony 2 years ago.
Keep strong and have confidence in everyone and show as much love as possible to your baby.
Babies are very strong and they will quickly bounce back.
I pray for your child for full and speedy recovery.
Hi, our daughter had it 11years ago. It is a very scary time, but put your trust in the health team, and get ready for a lot of stress. Take advantage of all offers of help and counselling. Our daughter is fine and healthy, now, and its hard to recall that time. Best wishes.
Morning. This is a hard time for you and your family. I will be thinking of you today and remembering how hard it is to hand your little one over to the surgery team. Take a photo of your little ones tummy before surgery if possible because its one thing our daughter has asked " what was my tummy like before I had my Kasa scar"
There is hope and our daughter lives a normal full life with no medication. She has always said my scar is proof I am stronger than this thing they call Biliary atresia.
Post any questions you have and don't be afraid to ask your medical team anything you don't understand or need an answer for. Stay strong.
Sending huge Hug and Hope to you all.
Let us know how you and your little one gets on.
X
Dear faith-hope and Euntaeg,
How did the operation go? How are your kids ? I hope everything went ok and they are recovering well.
Stay positive and be patient. Try not to compare with other kids and just ask the doctors every single question you may have. Each case is different and even tough it's very bumpy, there is always a positive outlook down the track.
If you need to talk or to be listened, let me know. My son is now 7 months and had the Kasai at 2 months and liver transplant at 5 months. We finally went home one week ago and he is much better. Still some way to go but we are very happy to be home and see some progress.
All the best and my thoughts are with you
My family came back home yesterday after surgery. My son is doing okay so far. His bilirubin level came down little bit as well as liver enzymes but there weren’t much difference yet. He looks stable but little irritated (i guess it is super tiredness from surgery and hospital stay..). He made couple green poops and his stool color is more darker yellowish.
Overall everything looks okay but i think it is too early to say..
what was the reason for your daughter’s tranaplant?
