Hi! I'm an adult who survived Biliary Atresia.

I'd like to meet more adults with the same condition.

I've just had my fourth surgery and looking forward to keep enjoying life!

Hi Kekurock , hope you are doing well after your fourth surgery. We offer support to families and young people up to the age of 25 in the UK who are affected by a childhood liver condition.

If you are based in the UK the British Liver Trust might be a good place to meet other adults affected by biliary atresia.

Best wishes

Thanks so much!, but I'm from Chile South America and I'm 35 so unfortunately I'm not elegible but thanks a lot. Is there anyone who could guide me with a diet plan post surgery recovery?, or maybe if I could follow some alternative med like acupunture to improve my quality of life?

Hi Kekurock , we can't offer any advice on diet plans or alternative treatments, so the best thing to do would be to speak to your medical team for advice on these

Hello! My daughter was born with BA and every clinic visit at University of Michigan hospital they remind us that she can never have a drop of alchohol to drink ever.

Hi! I would not drink. Alcohol is processed through the liver. You don’t want to risk getting sick. There are important enzymes in the liver for breaking down things managing bile. Helping our food digest. Alcohol is over rated :)
