benralizumab (fasedra)
During the summer, I had vastly improved and was able to lead a normal life on Fostair 200 plus
ciclesonide
and at that time, I turned down the ‘offer’ of benralizumab as I seemed to continue improving and was concerned that this medication has not been around all that long and they were saying I would

Advice on asthma as I have run out of options !
I'm currently on 40mg steroids (due to the reaction) and will start weaning tomorrow, fostair 200/6, spiriva respirmat and
ciclesonide
. I can't take montelukast as it causes anxiety.

Anyone else on Pulmicort and Omnairis
Hi - I have been taking omnair (aka omnairis - active ingredient =
Ciclesonide
) for a few years. Earlier this year I had insane sinus issues and my GP recommended pulmicort turbohaler which gave faster relief than I expected.

Experience of Using Alvesco (Ciclesonide)
One product that I have I come across in researching my condition and particularly the impact of the medications I have used on my ability to speak is Alvesco (
Ciclesonide
) a corticosteroid reliever.

Coughing with steroids
I use two inhalers, Flutiform, and
Ciclesonide
, two puffs twice a day. Sometimes I find that when I use my inhaler, it makes me have a coughing fit. Am I just coughing up the steroid spray and should I use it again?

Keep laughter in your heart
One med that i have been on for over a year now which has been wonderful for me has been Alvesco (
ciclesonide
). Being a smaller inhaled corticosteroid it manages to travel deeper into your lungs.

Reversibility and more
He's obviously on all of his meds (seretide,
ciclesonide
and montelukast) and had had some Ventolin earlier in the morning so assuming that doesn't then mean the asthma diagnosis he has had for years is now questionable as not close to the 15% reversibility?

Another heads up for Alvesco/ ciclesonide inhaler users
Hi there, Just saw my consultant at the RBH last week, he told me that Astra Zeneca is having another manufacturing problem with Alvesco. RBH pharmacy has v. Low stocks. I managed to refill my prescription. But all users should make sure they have a backup inhaler or get one on order. Cheers R x

Back to square one
Last time I went to see my specialist she was ill so I saw another doctor who suggested that if my asthma is bad in the last week of my cycle, I increase my
ciclesonide
for five days before, five days during and for five days after.

Eosinophyllic asthma
I have eosinophyllic asthma, I take Flutiform and
Ciclesonide
(ALvesco) twice a day. Every morning when I wake up, my throat and the roof of my mouth are very clogged up, - wondering if anyone has anything they take at night to help with this. Tried Montelukast but it disturbed my sleep.

Heads up for anyone using Alvesco / Ciclesonide as their ICS
Just to let everyone know, Astra Zeneca are having a manufacturing problem with this medicine at the moment. I had to scour the country to get two inhalers. I rang Astra Zeneca, and they said there was a problem with their "Manufacturing Process". But that there would be stocks available later this
