Back to square one

It’s been a while since I posted as I’ve been doing well! Last time I went to see my specialist she was ill so I saw another doctor who suggested that if my asthma is bad in the last week of my cycle, I increase my ciclesonide for five days before, five days during and for five days after. So far, it appears to be working and I’d felt loads better and perhaps got a bit complacent, I’d been going to the gym more, signed up to walk 4km a day for March to raise money for WaterAid and was starting to feel like I was getting somewhere.

Going out in the wind on Sunday made me bad and now I feel like I’m back to square one! I’d gone nearly two months without needing hospital treatment and if I was wheezy, I was getting myself out of it. Now I feel like I’ve been hit by a truck and without been given pred I can’t get my chest to stop feeling tight. Amazing how quickly your body forgets just how much it hurts!

Oh dear! This wind is a killer, I’m struggling myself. I’m sure you’ve thought of this, but perhaps you do need to get started on some pred?

It’s horrible isn’t it?

They didn’t send me home with any from the hospital so might get in touch with my GP
