I've noticed that there are different values used for cholesterol for the U.S. and the UK. Is there a conversion chart available to convert UK ranges to US ranges and vice versa?

Yes just Google chol. Lab value conversion UK to US.
Please note that units of measurements are different and also the formula for calculation of lipid numbers!
