short tempered

Your GP must have been having an off day, to say "it is in your head" is not satisfactory, I would make an appointment to see a different GP and, hopefully, you will get a proper, helpful answer.
The problem I had with Ramipril is that they made me sleepy in the afternoon, I was taking 2.5mg in the morning & 2.5mg at night, by reducing the dose to 1.25 in the morning and adjusting the evening dose accordingly. (I use tablets and break them in half to adjust the dose) I have no experience of andamlodipine
Thank you for your reply's will take your advice, i have stopped taking it to see if my mood swings settle down as i never was a angry person. Thought he was a bit abrupt and if he did think its in my head why did he not get me help?
The thing is to accept that you are being short tempered and then do something about it. It would be easy to blame it on the drugs but it could also be a part of how you are now in this phase of your life.
I was also this way to a point of screaming at people not shouting or being short tempered actually screaming at them. It was me and when I accepted this I found a councillor and went and talked to them. I discovered that I had trigger people that would make me boil. I now practice mindfulness and can control it. And because I know its me I don't actually boil so much as I know when it will begin to happen.
Not saying its not the drugs. Just saying.
Ed17 you are not having any other symptoms are you ,weight loss ,not able to sleep ? People who have the Thyroid disease Graves have problems with mood swings ,anger mainly and foggy brain .Just a thought !
