An interesting piece here on coronary artery scans, which are a much more accurate way of predicting heart disease risk.

Apparently 50% of those currently classified as high risk are actually clear on a coronary artery scan.

In the N Y Times article a doctor writes that there is no need for a heart scan for someone who has no objections to taking statins. I was on 20 mg Simvastatin with cholesterol of 4.9. I had a heart scan and came out as high risk! Also cost of 100 dollars was a better deal than my £300.
