Drug trial update. Well the trial is complete and a recent blood test shows all cholestrol levels are down. No reactions to the injection.

Hopefully this injection will develop for young children who will be tested for FH and if found to carry the gene a three monthly injection used to treat them. This will help prevent early heart attacks and sudden deaths in the under thirties, which can only be a good thing

Hi Aliwally

The trial was run by an American company , Regeneron. It was to trial REGN727. Statin, Ezetimibe and the trial drug, placebo's or real. A blind trial but with doctors blood test I know it reduced my cholesterol considerably. Hope this helps

That is brilliant news. Now we just need too track down every family carrying the faulty genes in order to catch these children in time.
