Potential New Connections & Meaningful Friendships

Hi,

I've been wondering for sometime if anyone, like me, would like to explore potential new connections and friendships?

I believe my visual difference (facial skin condition) was caused by a nasty bout of Covid at the beginning of 2020 which has sadly had a detrimental effect on my self confidence and overall health. I have continued to seek medical advice in the hope, and belief, that I would find an effective treatment but sadly this has not been the case. I’m pretty much drained and feel that it’s now time to get on with my life.

Visual differences and other medical conditions (I also have autoimmune disease) can take their toll. Fitting into old friendship groups can be tricky when you’ve had monumental changes to your health and you’re forced to make lifestyle changes.

I’d love to explore potential new friendships with others who are living with facial differences, loss of confidence, autoimmune disease, or any health conditions that pose daily challenges. Having the confidence to be yourself around people that won’t judge you, can relate to your challenges and can set you free is surely invaluable.

I live on the South Coast, near Chichester and I’m a 58 year old female. No pressure or expectations, just the opportunity to share experiences, advice and meaningful connections.

hi, it’s great to hear you are looking for a new circle of friends.

My TRUE friends have helped me through the most traumatic year of my life. I had a life changing dog bite to my face and underwent 8 reconstructive surgeries. I live with MS - also an autoimmune disease.

Be strong and stay strong.

Xxx

Hi, Thank you so much for your kind response x

I'm shocked at the trauma you have suffered. I do hope you are able to heal the mental and emotional scars, as well as the physical ones. 8 reconstructive surgeries is huge, you have incredible strength, especially as you are also living with the challenges of MS. I am in awe of you.

A new circle of friends would be amazing but sadly my post has yet to trigger such response :o(

Thank you once again and keep strong . . . . xx

thank you for your reply. I would love to stay in touch with you as I feel we could be good support for each other. Are you interested. Oh I am female by the way - I don’t suppose a username of Yellow-wellies is gender specific.
