After my trip to hospital shortly before Christmas, I ended up on Antibiotics. Holy cow. They kicked the living daylights out of me. I have never known a more powerful kick.

I finished them few days ago (it was one long course and a very strong antibiotic). they were easy to take at first, but after a few days, they started on their purpose, and my goodness, they were really really strong when they took hold. I had borderline delirium at points.

Feeling better now. Mrs CB and I decided at the beginning of the week, that should I not start feeling better, then i would see Doctors today. I booked the day off, anticipating needing attention.

But as it happens, the pills effects have worn off. It just took longer than we anticipated.

So today, I treated myself to just rest, a little music (I have my favourite Pink Floyd on ....) and to be honest, I realise just how important self care is.

Its not a "duvet day", or some other stupid euphemism. It's me, putting myself first, putting health at the top of the pile in the in-tray.

and you know what?

I'm feeling absolutely A1 top notch spiffing.

I must do this more often!

yes .... got to be done. Music on.....

Today I've had everything from Smetana (Ma Vlast) to PInk Floyd, to Roxy Music.

Just setting about some Vangelis.

But whatever works for you in bringing peace in to your soul, just do it. The investment is priceless!
